Shelly 1PM Gen3: 16A Wi-Fi relay with integrated power consumption meter Thanks to its embedded format (37 × 42 × 16 mm), the Shelly 1PM Gen3 fits behind your switches, sockets, or wall boxes. Capable of supporting high loads up to 16A (3680W at 240V AC), it can control electric heating, water heaters, or household appliances while precisely measuring their consumption. It operates directly via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi using the Shelly Smart Control app, without a hub or gateway. Important: This module absolutely requires wiring with both Live and Neutral.
How much does it really consume? The 1PM Gen3 tells you in real-time
The integrated voltmeter and ammeter continuously measure the consumption of the connected device on the circuit. This data is stored for free in the Shelly cloud and can be viewed from the app to analyze trends, compare weeks, and identify which equipment is driving up the bill. The internal temperature sensor constantly monitors the relay's heating and automatically cuts off power if necessary to protect your installation.
Scripts, KNX, and Bluetooth to go further than simple on/off
For users who want to customize their installation, the Shelly 1PM Gen3 Wi-Fi relay with power measurement supports custom scripts, 20 webhooks with 5 URLs per trigger, MQTT, WebSocket, HTTPS, UDP, TLS, and KNXnet/IP communication for professional installations. The integrated Bluetooth 4.2 BLE acts as a gateway for compatible sensors, and the Wi-Fi repeater function improves network coverage in areas far from the router. It also accepts DC power between 24 and 30V for specific configurations outside of mains voltage.
Compatible with Home Assistant, Alexa, and Google Home without any intermediary
The 1PM Gen3 integrates natively with Home Assistant, Alexa, and Google Home via direct Wi-Fi, without a hub or bridge. The 20 advanced scheduling programs allow for automation of common routines: turning off lights at a fixed time, starting heating before waking up, or switching off devices upon departure. Multi-voltage power supply (110-240V AC or 24-30V DC) covers the vast majority of residential and commercial installations in Europe.
FAQ
What is the difference between the 1PM Gen3 and the 1PM Mini Gen3?
The 1PM Gen3 supports up to 16A compared to 8A for the Mini Gen3, and its slightly larger format (37 × 42 mm vs 29 × 34 mm) allows it to accommodate more robust terminals for heavy loads such as underfloor heating or electric convection heaters. Both include real-time power consumption measurement.
Can the 1PM Gen3 control electric underfloor heating?
Yes. With its 16A capacity at 240V, the 1PM Gen3 is perfectly sized to manage convection heaters, towel dryers, or electric water heaters within the 3680W limit.
Is power consumption data accessible without a subscription?
Yes, cloud storage of power consumption data is completely free in the Shelly Smart Control app, with no subscription or time limit imposed by the manufacturer.
Does the Shelly 1PM Gen3 require a neutral wire?
Yes, the Neutral wire is absolutely required to power the module and ensure power measurement.
