Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 b/g/n/ax), Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth 5.0, and Matter certification in a 29 × 34 × 16 mm, 18-gram package: this is the promise of the Shelly 1PM Mini Gen4 multiprotocol Matter relay module. You choose the protocol that suits your setup, and it adapts. Lights, fans, door locks, small appliances up to 8A at 240V, everything can be controlled from the Shelly Smart Control app, Apple Home, Google Home, or Alexa, with no hub required.

Choose your protocol: Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or Bluetooth, it's all integrated

The 1PM Mini Gen4 is one of the few modules on the market that allows the user to choose the protocol based on their existing setup. In Wi-Fi 6 mode, it connects directly to the router without a gateway. In Zigbee 3.0 mode, it joins your Zigbee network with a range of up to 100 meters indoors and simultaneously acts as a repeater to extend coverage. Bluetooth 5.0 ensures initial pairing and the BLE gateway for nearby sensors. Matter certification guarantees seamless integration into all compatible ecosystems, regardless of the brand of other devices in your home.

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) Mode: Direct and ultra-stable connection to your network with no gateway required.

Zigbee 3.0 Mode: Integration into your local Zigbee network (range up to 100m indoors) while acting as a signal router/repeater.

Matter Certification: Simplified inclusion in Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings via a compatible Matter controller.

Bluetooth 5.0: Fast pairing and BLE gateway function for the brand's sensors.

Monitor your consumption and automatically protect your devices with the Shelly 1PM Mini Gen4 multiprotocol Matter relay module

The integrated power measurement displays real-time consumption in the app, with a free cloud history to analyze and reduce waste. If the voltage, current, or power exceeds a safety threshold, the Shelly 1PM Mini Gen4 multiprotocol Matter relay module automatically cuts off the power without your intervention. The internal temperature sensor also monitors relay heating for complete daily system protection.

Local scenes, scripts, and automations that work even without internet

Schedules, scenes, and local actions run directly on the device without going through the cloud, ensuring that your automations continue even in the event of an internet outage. The 1PM Mini Gen4 supports custom scripts, 20 webhooks with 5 URLs per trigger, MQTT, incoming and outgoing WebSocket HTTPS for advanced integrations with Home Assistant or other open-source platforms. Ideal for both a first home automation installation and for enriching an existing system.

FAQ

Can the protocol be changed after installing the 1PM Mini Gen4?

Yes, the protocol choice is made during initial setup in the Shelly app. Changing the protocol usually requires reconfiguring the device. Consult Shelly documentation for the switching procedure based on your installation.

Is specific equipment required to use the Matter function?

To integrate the module via Matter into Apple Home, Google Home, or SmartThings, you must have a compatible Matter controller on your network (e.g., Apple HomePod, Apple TV, Google Nest Hub, SmartThings Station, or Home Assistant server).

What is the main difference between the 1PM Mini Gen3 and the 1PM Mini Gen4?

The Gen4 adds Wi-Fi 6, native Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth 5.0, and Matter certification, making it compatible with many more ecosystems and home automation configurations. The Gen3 only offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 without Zigbee or Matter.

Does the Shelly 1PM Mini Gen4 require a neutral wire?

Yes, the presence of the Neutral wire is obligatorily required to power the module's electronics and the power measurement circuit.
