Shelly 1PM Gen4: The 16A multi-protocol relay with consumption measurement (Wi-Fi 6, Zigbee 3.0 & Matter) Designed to fit into standard wall boxes (37 × 42 × 16 mm), the Shelly 1PM Gen4 supports high loads up to 16A (3680W at 240V AC). Ideal for controlling electric heating, hot water tanks, or complex lighting circuits, it features Wi-Fi 6, Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth 5.0, and Matter certification. You choose the wireless protocol that suits your ecosystem. Important: This module requires wiring with Phase and Neutral (110-240V AC or 24-30V DC).

See what your heating, lights, or underfloor heating actually consume

The built-in voltmeter and ammeter display real-time consumption in the Shelly Smart Control app, with free history to analyze trends over time and identify devices that are driving up your bill. The internal temperature sensor monitors the relay's heat and automatically cuts power if necessary. The Matter Shelly 1PM Gen4 consumption measurement relay also acts as a Wi-Fi and Zigbee repeater to improve network coverage, and as a Bluetooth gateway for compatible sensors.

Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home without a hub or intermediate gateway

Thanks to its Matter certification, the 1PM Gen4 integrates directly with Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa without an additional hub, regardless of the brand of your other connected devices. KNXnet/IP compatibility also makes it usable in professional installations on a KNX network. Local scenes, schedules, and automations run directly on the device without cloud dependency, ensuring your heating turns on and your lights turn off even if the internet goes down.

16A, multi-voltage, and scripts for the most demanding installations

The 1PM Gen4 supports up to 16A at 240V AC and accepts a DC power supply between 24 and 30V for off-mains configurations. The 20 advanced schedules, custom scripts, 20 webhooks with 5 URLs per trigger, MQTT, and WebSocket cover the needs of users who want to automate with precision, whether for underfloor heating, a hot water tank, or a complex lighting system. The Zigbee range reaches 100 meters indoors and 300 meters outdoors depending on installation conditions.

FAQ

What is the difference between the 1PM Gen4 and the 1 Gen4?

The 1PM Gen4 integrates a voltmeter and ammeter to measure real-time electricity consumption on the controlled circuit. The 1 Gen4 does not have this measurement but has potential-free dry contacts and wider multi-voltage compatibility (including 12V DC). If you want to track your consumption, the 1PM is the right choice.

Does consumption measurement also work with 24-30V DC power supply?

No, the integrated voltmeter and ammeter only measure AC consumption. With DC power, on/off control remains available but without power measurement according to manufacturer specifications.

Is the 1PM Gen4 suitable for controlling electric underfloor heating?

Yes, with its 16A capacity at 240V, it is sized for the vast majority of electric underfloor heating systems. Check the nominal power of your installation and plan for suitable external protection according to EN60898-1 standards.
