Integrated Zigbee repeater, energy monitoring, overload protection, and standby power consumption under 1 W: the SONOFF S60ZB Zigbee smart plug combines several essential functions in a compact 50 × 50 × 61.5 mm format. Permanently powered, it automatically acts as a Zigbee router to extend the range and improve the stability of your installation's mesh network. A compatible Zigbee 3.0 hub or coordinator is required.
Energy Monitoring, Overload Protection, and Smart Automations
Power, voltage, current, and consumption tracking are available in the eWeLink app, with a six-month exportable history when used with a compatible SONOFF hub. In case of overload, the plug automatically cuts off power to protect connected devices and allows remote power-on. Energy measurements can also be used as triggers to create automations based on instantaneous power or daily and monthly consumption.
Home Assistant, Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings Compatibility
Compatible with Amazon Echo hubs integrating a Zigbee controller, Google Home (via compatible SONOFF hubs), and SmartThings, the S60ZB plug allows voice control and automations according to each platform's capabilities. Home Assistant users can integrate it locally via Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA with a ZBDongle-P or ZBDongle-E. Power, voltage, current, and consumption measurements can then be used directly in the Home Assistant Energy dashboard for local energy monitoring and advanced automations.
FAQ
Is energy monitoring available with all Zigbee hubs?
No. In the eWeLink application, detailed six-month history and certain advanced energy monitoring functions are only available with compatible SONOFF hubs (ZBBridge Pro, ZBBridge Ultra, NSPanel Pro, and iHost). However, Home Assistant, via Zigbee2MQTT and, depending on the versions, ZHA, allows local retrieval of key energy measurements (power, voltage, current, and consumption) for use in dashboards and automations.
Does the S60ZB automatically strengthen the Zigbee network without configuration?
Yes, as soon as it is paired with a compatible Zigbee 3.0 hub, the S60ZB automatically acts as a Zigbee router and strengthens the mesh network without any additional user configuration.
What is the main difference between the S60 Wi-Fi and the S60ZB?
The S60 Wi-Fi connects directly to the Wi-Fi network without a hub. The S60ZB uses the Zigbee 3.0 protocol, requires a compatible Zigbee hub or coordinator, and acts as a Zigbee router to extend the mesh network. Thanks to its low standby power consumption and fast local communication, it is particularly suitable for Zigbee installations and systems like Home Assistant.
